Niger Delta Avengers: Amnesty boss ‘relocates’ to the creeks

Brigadier General P.T. Boroh (Rtd), the special adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme, has reportedly relocated to the creeks of Niger Delta.

Militant attacks in the region has increased in the past weeks and many belive this prompted Boroh’s relocation to the creeks.

According to Andy Spiff, a source who spoke to Sahara Reporters, Boroh was seen in the region holding meetings with militants in Rivers, Delta and Edo states.

The source said, “Over the past couple of days, Gen Boroh has had various meetings with ex agitators and beneficiaries of the amnesty programme in the region. This vigorous touring might be evidence of the Federal Governments readiness to dialogue with the Avengers.”

The Niger Delta Avengers have blown several oil installations in the Niger Delta region, in the hopes of crippling the Nigerian economy.
