Former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has prayed that God would do something new in Nigeria in 2015.

On Monday, December 22, during the 2014 Ogun State Christmas carol service, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, in Abeokuta, Obasanjo stated that the situation in the country requires urgent divine intervention.

During his address at the programme, the Obasanjo rendered a worship song, asking for “something new” from the Lord.

He said: “I and the governor have agreed that all what Baba Adeboye said here tonight is what all of have said. There is no more word. But you will assist me to sing this song, Nigeria needs something new this time around.”

“The song goes thus, ‘Do something new in my life and do something new in this country’,” Obasanjo added.

Midway into the song, the crowd shouted: “Sai Buhari”, however, he continued with his song.

Also at the service was former interim president, Ernest Shonekan, and The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.
