The Independent National Electoral Commisson has stated that it would investigate the allegation made by the All Progressives Congress on the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Rivers state.

INEC says it has set up a fact finding mission to determine the authenticity of the claims as well as to advice the Commission on the next step to take.

The electoral body disclosed on Twitter that the committee comprises of three people namely; Mrs. Thelma Iremiren, Col. MK Hammanga and Prof. Lai Olurode.

INEC said: “They have departed for Rivers and it is expected they will submit their report before the end of collation of general results. Following the consideration of the report, the Commission will make its decision known.”
