Nigerian Army ‘rescues’ 16 women abducted in Madagali

The Nigerian Army has ‘rescued’ some of the 16 women and girls reportedly abducted on Wednesday in Madagali, Adamawa State, by suspected Boko Haram militants.

This development was on Friday, disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of 28 Task Force Brigade Mubi in Adamawa, A.O. Fadare.

Fadare said the troops rescued the 16 captives while pursing their abductors, but he failed to state the number of those rescued.

“I am still trying to verify from Madagali as you know, the operation is still on,” he was quoted to have said.
