Last week Nigerian Idol contestants visited Taruwa, a popular monthly open mic event that has seen the likes of Bez, poet Chiedu
Ifeozo, and producer Cobhams Asuquo grace its stage.
The event took place in Lagos with BB Olurin and Aderonke Adebanjo of Smooth FM as hosts.
At the event, the male and female contestants were seperated into two groups. The guys were first to perform their version of Lagbaja’s ‘Never Far Away’ and then they performed Iyanya’s ‘Kukere’ completely changing the atmosphere.
Next up were the ladies who performed Wande Coal’s ‘Ololufe’ then they sang Flavour’s ‘Oyinatumo’ much to the excitement of the crowd.
It was an evening of fun, music and laughter.
