Moving forward, Nigerian police officers wouldn’t be able to go through your mobile phones anymore.
This rampant act by the nation’s officers has been banned by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
The announcement of the ban was made on Monday, via a circular by the Police IG.
He directed that policemen should henceforth, stop accessing people’s mobile telephones illegally.
The Officer in Charge of Complaint Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force disclosed this via his Twitter handle.
