Buhari stylishly reacts to Pro-Biafra agitation… without mentioning ‘Biafra’

Ever since the recent Biafra protests and agitation broke out across parts of the South East and South-South, President Muhammadu Buhari, has surprisingly stayed mute on the matter.

But on Monday morning, while launching the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund at the Presidential Villa, President Buhari said Nigerians are determined to remain as one, against all odds.

Forgive us for thinking it’s a subliminal response to those advocating for secession.

Buhari said Nigerian is an indivisible entity, in spite of the challenges of internal strife and civil war it has suffered over the last 55 years.

The President said:

“Our nation has recently celebrated 55 years of political independence and continues to remain as one indivisible entity despite several grievous challenges.”

“‘Since independence, Nigeria has witnessed a lot of internal strife, survived a civil war and has remained united. This feat achieved by the country is an eloquent testimony to the determination of our citizens to remain as one people.”

Again, forgive us if we’re too hasty to read between the lines, and assume he’s passing a message to pro-Biafra agitators.
