To some family members of job seekers who lost their lives during the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment tragedy in Abuja, it is double sorrow as the remains of their loved ones are yet to be released to them for burial.

The nation is still mourning the loss of bright young minds as deaths were recorded around the country with 7 deaths recorded in Abuja alone.
The grief-stricken family members besieged the National Hospital, Abuja to receive the remains of the deceased while others went there in search of their missing wards.
Reports have it that the remains of the deceased applicants were not released to their family members by the National Hospital.

One Mohammed Yekini, the brother of 35-year-old Oyiza Yusuf, a mother of one who died at the Abuja center, has pleaded with authorities to release her body, as being a Muslim, she was long overdue for burial.
The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, has also lent his voice to the situation asking the hospital to release the victims’ remains.
