In furtherance of its agitation against the increase in petrol price from N86 to N145, the National Labour Congress has taken its protests to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
According to eyewitness reports, the protesters barricaded the road leading to the secretariat before gaining entrance and subsequently harassing government officials who did not take part in the strike action.
Officers from the Rapid Response Squad were promptly deployed to calm the situation and all frayed nerves.
