Nnenna Irebisi: I’m grateful for life (30 Days of Gratitude)

In a nutshell, I am grateful for life.

Nothing else I will say will trump that… and not life the way people say it so carelessly but LIFE!!!

On June 27th I survived a harrowing fire incident at my house. I was trapped within the fire zone and thinking I may not make it but not only did I make it out unscathed, there was no loss of property to me.

I remember rolling on the floor and wailing in tears screaming “God what Shall I render to you?”

I burst into tears often when I recall this even now as I write this. It is truly a blessing to be among the living so yes, I am grateful for life; the absence of which everything else ceases to be…

Nothing else has topped that all year, not my many travels, not my snazzy job, not the interesting fun things I get up to. If God does not do anything for me this year again, HE has tried… He has done enough…
