It was an heated session earlier today, March 11, at the upper chamber of the House of Assembly, when the ministerial nomination of Musiliu Obanikoro, was ratified by the Senate.

Vehemently opposed to the approval of Obanikoro, lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress, would staged a walk-out from the Senate.

After the confirmation of Obanikoro, APC Senator, Babafemi Ojudu, went on Twitter to state the opposition party’s stance on the matter.

We APC senators walked out when they turn process , precedence and our laws upside down. We addressed the press and stated our position.

They went ahead in spite of 40 of us from the opposition APC to confirm Obanikoro as Minister.

For them it does not matter if he has trampled upon his oath of office and abused hi position as a minister

Ojudu also hinted that Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of APC National leader, Bola Tinubu- was attacked by a supporter of Obanikoro.

Coming out of the chambers an Obanikoro supporter attacked Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu. PDP senators ignored this even on my alerting them
