Now we’re talking: President Jonathan releases contact details for tonight’s media chat

by Isi Esene

President Goodluck Jonathan is set to address all questions directed at him in the presidential media chat scheduled to take place between 7 – 9pm tonight.

In a statement released earlier today by the special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Reuben Abati, the president will “in the course of the Presidential Media Chat today, Sunday, November 18, 2012 respond to questions from members of the public. Members of the public who have particular issues they would like President Jonathan to address are invited to send their questions via twitter to @mediachatng or via SMS to +2347026076865.

“During the two-hour programme which will be broadcast live by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Voice of Nigeria (VON) from 7pm to 9pm, a representative selection of the most significant questions received will be presented to President Jonathan for his response. The President will, as is usual, also field questions from a panel of senior media practitioners,” the statement concluded.

You won’t want to keep the president waiting, would you? Start sending your questions in.

  1. As usual, the encounter was stage-managed as none of my questions nor anyone's on LGBTI's National Assembly bill was ever read/treated for Mr. President to respond to. Knowing these people (Nigerian govt) very well, I think it was deliberate but he (President) still goofed despite all d abracadabra they call mediachat.
