Boko Haram kingpin; father of 3 insurgents, arrested by NSCDC

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Sunday, said that it has arrested a Boko Haram kingpin who also confessed to being the father of three Boko Haram “arrow heads.”

This was made known by the commandant of the NSCDC in Borno, Ibrahim Abdullahi, while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Abdullahi said the man was arrested at the Askira Uba local government area of Borno state on Tuesday.

He said: “Our men have made remarkable progress by arresting a Boko Haram kingpin.”

“The notorious kingpin was said to be a recruiter as well as supplier of arms and IEDs to Boko Haram terrorists.”

“He confessed that his three children were also arrow heads of the Boko Haram sect.”

Abdullahi further disclosed that the man was now under the custody of the Nigerian Army for further investigation.
