However for every Timberland there’s a Timberlake, and for every Macklemore there’s a a Ryan Lewis. Leriq is deciding against becoming a Ryan Lewis, and now want to be a Timberland.

Just in case you’re still wondering what that means, here is Ryan Lewis asking folks if they knew who he was. Everybody knew the name but no idea what he looked like unlike his partner Macklemore.

Take a look at Timberland and Timberlake and you’d see they are both stars in their own right. They individually create good music and when they come together create magic.

It’s easy to say Burna Boy is Leriq’s Timberlake but that may be ancient history and even Burna Boy’s person makes Leriq more of a Ryan Lewis than Timberland. Unfortunately, Wizkid can’t be his Timberlake either as the Starboy has a larger than life personality swallowing up any act he works with. Ask Iyanya (on Sexy Mama).

No doubt Leriq is a talented producer and he does have a personality and presence especially with his signature ‘Call the paramedic’ on hit tracks from Burna Boy, ChiDynma The Voice, and now Wizkid, but the hunt is still on for that other half.

Then again, Leriq could as well just pull another version of Timberland where he produces and features A-list artist on an album just like Shock Value I and II.
