The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has told the Federal Government not to yield to pressure from certain quarters to increase fuel price.
South-West Chairman of the union, Tokunbo Korodo made the statement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday.
He said any attempt by the Federal Government to increase the price of fuel will be met by heavy resistance from labour unions.
Kodoro added that an increase in the price of PMS will aggravate the sufferings of Nigerians.
He advised the government to sell its unviable assets as a way of coming out of the recession.
Recall that there were reports that fuel price had increased by N5.
