Is Obasanjo stylishly canvassing votes for the APC?

by Kolapo Olapoju

It’s not at all farfetched to conjecture that former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, is canvassing for votes for the All Progressives Congress.

Here’s the reason for such a conjecture- Obasanjo went to the market place on Saturday, in a state that heavily voted for the APC in last week’s election, and said they should repeat the voting pattern of last week.

During his unexpected visit to Itoku Market in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, journalists asked Obasanjo what party he would advice the traders in the market to vote for during Saturday’s election.

Although he refused to state the name of any party, he said: “They should do exactly what they did last Saturday”…

And what exactly did they do?- They voted for Buhari and the APC more than they voted for President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP.

Obasanjo added: “Since I came back from Abuja, I have not come here to say hello to you. This is my community. As a member of the community, I want to know what’s going on and what’s happening in the community.”
