Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboaboana, scored in his side’s 5-1 thumping of Tekirdaspor in a Turkish Lig cup match.
Oboabonna opened scoring for Çaykur Rizespor, in the 16th minute, as his team went on to trash their lower league opposition.
The 24-year-old, who is yet to make an appearance in the Turkish Super Lig this season will hope his opening goal will convince the Turkish side to give him his first start of the season.
The former Sunshine Stars player, has now scored three times since joining Rizespor in 2013. Last season, he scored two goals – one in the league and the other in a cup tie.
