Okezie Ikpeazu wins Abia PDP governorship ticket

Okezie Ikpeazu has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s gubernatorial primary election held today in Abia.

He won by a landslide, earning 487 votes, in comparison to his nearest challenger, Uche Smpson Ogah who managed 103 votes.

The other aspirants for the governorship of Abia state, Sir Emeka Wogu had 33 votes, Marc Wabara had 3 votes, FN Nwosu had 5 votes, Chief Acho Nwakanma also had votes, Amb. Okey Emuchey had 3 votes, while Iheanacho Okezie Orji had 1 vote.

9 invalid votes were recorded at the gubernatorial primary election, which was held at Umuahia Township Stadium.
