Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been listed among the 50 World greatest leaders by Fortune magazine.
Okonjo-Iweala was placed 33rd in the list which includes Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Pope Francis, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Bill and Melinda Gates, Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerburg and Apple Chief Executive Officer, Tom Cook.
Profiling Okonjo-Iweala was a former deputy assistant secretary of state for African affairs, Witney Schneidman, who wrote: “A magna cum laude Harvard grad who holds a Ph.D. from MIT, Okonjo-Iweala has helped usher in a GDP-trebling decade of Nigerian prosperity. She is a fearless promoter of sound economic policies.”
