Olisa Metuh, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been granted bail by a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.

Metuh, who arrived in court on Tuesday, January 19, for his bail hearing, is under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The PDP spokesperson was granted bail on the condition that he pays N400 million as bond.

He was also mandated to submit his international passport and provide two sureties with N200 million each.

Metuh is accused of receiving N400 million from an arms money diverted by the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

Before his bail, he was remanded in Kuje Prisons, Abuja.

The PDP spokesperson is being tried on a 7-count charge of corruption and money laundering.
