Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Olu Falae, who was abducted earlier today, was reportedly taken by over 20 Fulani herdsmen who invaded his farm and attacked his workers.
According to the elder statesman’s family, the fulani herdsmen had for some time, been on a warpath with the workers in the farm because their cows often time, destroy the farmland.
But on Monday, about 20 of them attacked the farm by shooting indiscriminately into the air and the workers were forced to flee.
Vanguard reports that Falae was beaten up by the herdsmen and dragged on the floor after refusing to go with them.
The farm manager and some of Falae’s workers were matcheted while others were reportedly wounded and are on admission in different hospitals.
Spokesman of the SDP in the state, Remi Olayiwola, was reported to have said that Fulani accent was detected from those who called Falae’s wife for ransom payment.
