Sometimes, hanging out together and sharing common feelings together can be as far as the affair goes. Given, that sense of emotional closeness can lead to sex. However, this doesn’t happen all the time.

1. Once a cheater, always a cheater!

Yes, there are some scumbags who fall into this category, but not everyone who cheats is a Satan incarnate. Many affairs are a one-and-done thing, and there are others which stem from an unsuccessful and lonely marriage – Lunchbox, anyone? And, if the marriage survives after the affair, then it only goes on to prove how the cheater had eventually come out as an honest and a stronger individual.

2. Affairs are all about sex

Sure, yes, some of them are only about sex, but a lot of time affairs happen because two people connected on an emotional level. Sometimes, hanging out together and sharing common feelings together can be as far as the affair goes. Given, that sense of emotional closeness can lead to sex. However, this doesn’t happen all the time.

3. Once an affair is out in the open, it is the end for the couple

Not true, in fact, it has been proved that more than 50 percent of marriages can survive infidelity. Although, there are chances of the relationship getting affected due to hundred other reasons in the future, but, many couple can actually come out stronger and stay together after an affair.

4. Your partner won’t stray if you keep your sex life exciting

If you’re in a relationship, spicing up the physical intimacy won’t prevent cheating. Worse, buying into this myth makes the wronged individuals blame themselves for their partner’s infidelity.
