BREAKING: Appeal Court panel withdraws from Ondo PDP crisis case

Members of the panel hearing the Ondo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidacy crisis appeals at the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal have disqualified themselves from hearing the cases.

Justices Jumai Sankey, E. Agim and O.E William-Dawudu were members of the panel.

The panel withdrew from the cases after a petiton by one of the respondents, Biyi Poroye claiming that Justice Sankey has been biased and likely to be compromised.

Justice Sankey ordered that the case files be returned to the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, for re-assignment to another panel.

Poroye also alleged that the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Bulkachuwa has been compromised to deliver judgement in favour of Eyitayo Jegede.

A new panel will be constituted to prosecute the appeals against the orders made by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court.
