Ever since the araba buses were removed,transportation has been hard for the common man. The city all of all of a sudden seems over populated,people standing on the road and most times even blocking the road for car owners to drive freely.

The removal of buses popularly called Araba in the federal capital has become a nuisance rather than removing the chaos as intended by the FCT minister Bala Mohamed. One could say that a lot of factors were not put into consideration before this decision was agreed and supported by a few.

Ever since the Araba buses were removed, transportation has been hard for the common man. The city all of a sudden seems over populated, people standing on the road and most times even blocking the road for car owners to drive freely.

There is also an influx in transportation now. This has given cab drivers the opportunity to increase fares knowing a lot of people don’t have an alternative.

Could it be that stopping this buses from operating wasn’t what the city needed afterall? Looking at the result, there has been no change on the roads. They are as busy as before, if not worse.

If solutions would not be provided for problems, it’s advised that they wait instead of causing problems and stress for the people. Sen. Bala Mohamed does not travel with public transport within the city so he has no idea what those without private cars are passing through.

Leaders are here to serve the people, the removal of these buses was meant for the benefit of the people but if the people are not enjoying it, the purpose definitely is defeated. If the buses cannot be brought back, then more commercial vehicles should be made available at a reasonable rate as it were.
