Opinion: God’s ‘weird’ timing and it’s unending benefits

The time of manifestation is determined by the Giver, not the beneficiary, and the rewards of the gifts is a call to humility by the beneficiary, not a call to pride.

Your gift is not a function of where you are now; it’s a function of where God is taking you. If I sit on my gift simply because I feel no one notices, I make the grave mistake of thinking that I was supposed to impress anyone in the first place.

God’s gifts are for the glory of the giver, not the beneficiary of the gifts, or whoever is observing. The time of manifestation is determined by the Giver, not the beneficiary, and the rewards of the gifts is a call to humility by the beneficiary, not a call to pride.

Joseph tried to hasten the time of his manifestation by asking the king’s butler not to forget him, but in 3 days, he forgot Joseph completely because God’s time had not yet come. The big lesson here – If one moves ahead of God, s/he may get justice, but then, it may just end there. But if one waits for God’s timing, even generations after will remember the good works of God the person’s life.

Did you know that Joseph’s title died with him? Before him, that title didn’t exist, and after him, the title of Prime Minister in Egypt ceased to exist. God still does things like that – he creates vacuums that only His prepared vessels can fill. Have you been tested and approved by God? Can he count on your faithfulness and reliability?

Did you also know that his time of manifestation always elevates his children to the next level, higher than they were before. The butler got his old job back – no salary increase, no enhanced productivity index, just the same old waiting at tables.

The baker got demoted into the grave, hanged to death. Joseph got elevated beyond his wildest expectation because God’s time of manifestation had come. Wait for him – he’s got a weird but amazing sense of timing. What is yours will never pass you by, as long as you wait on Him and keep your focus on Him.

God is teaching me that – men are like shifting shadows, never consistent. Only God is the Everlasting Father – always a father, no matter how untruthful or faithless His children are.

His nature is not dependent on us; He is who He is in spite of us.
