Oshiomhole’s commissioner dumps APC for PDP

One of the commissioners of the governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Dennis Idahosa, Commissioner for Investment and Public/Private Partnership, on Friday, January 30, defected to the ruling party.

Idahosa cross-carpeted to the PDP alongside some leaders of the APC in Ovia South West Local Government Area of the State.

While being received into the PDP by the Dan Orbih, the state Chairman, Idahosa stated that he would resign as commissioner after the defection process was completed.

The commissioner disclosed that he left the opposition party because of constant criticism of President Goodluck Jonathan and Edo elders by Gov. Adams Oshiomhole.

He added that he would immediately join forces with PDP in the state to gather support for the re-election of President Jonathan.

“The reason I am joining PDP is that I don’t agree with the way Oshiomhole abuses our elders and President Jonathan. I stand to support President Jonathan for the presidency.”

Idahosa said more serving commissioners in Oshiomhole’s cabinet have expressed willingness to join the PDP, adding that the party would exploit the failures of Oshiomhole’s administration to its benefit.
