Umana Okon Umana, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, in Akwa Ibom, is presently in the capital city, Uyo.

Thousands of Uyo residents came out to welcome Umana, who’s been given a second chance at contesting for the state’s governorship.

The Akwa Ibom Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had on Wednesday, cancelled the polls in 18 local government areas.

The tribunal ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct fresh elections in the affected areas.

Upon his return to Uyo on Saturday following the judgment, Umana Umana got a morale booster by the sheer number of the turnout.
