A Florida woman is accused of attacking her husband, then attempting to burn down her kitchen in an attempt to go “out in a blaze of glory.”

Michelle Diane Fowler Osteen Bedillion, 46, allegedly hit her husband, Carlos Bedillion in the head with a heavy picture frame around 9 p.m. Sunday in their Dunellon home, according to a news release from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Carlos Bedillion, also 46, called police. His wife then allegedly threw a computer printer and hit him in the back.

The man fled the house and told police that from outside, he could see his wife pour cooking oil all over the kitchen before setting it on fire. He ran back inside and put the fire out, and Michelle Bedillion ran out of the house and into some nearby woods.

When deputies found her later on, they say she told them that her husband “deserved whatever he got.” When they asked why she started a fire, she said, “I was going out in a blaze of glory.”

Michelle Bedillion was charged with domestic battery and arson.
