Gospel artiste Tim Godfrey, popular for praise songs including Agidigba, has been reported abducted.

The singer and minister at Pastor Tony Rapu’s This Present House church, in charge of the choir was abducted from in front of his home at Alpha Beach, along with his car, a metallic blue honda pilot with registration number LSD-738AE. The event happened around 11pm.

The information has been confirmed by his band mate Yemisi who witnessed the abduction as she was with him, driving behind him during the abduction.

Suspected to be a robbery, the abducters were armed. His colleagues in the industry have begun to send panicked messages including Lara George, Kefee, Funke Bucknor and others.

It is reported that his car, a Honda Pilot, was seen by other Lekki residents, as the 7-man team of abductors went on a robbery spree across the area. A formal report has been made to the police.

This sad development happens as Godfrey’s career has taken flight over the past few months – with over 7 awards, recording a song ‘Champion’ with Banky W, and performances in the United Kingdom, United States and others.
