There was confusion at the Abuja Nnamdi Azikwe Airport yesterday, October 28 after a plane set to land from Lagos suddenly ascended again seconds away from the ground. It comes less than a month after the horrific incident involving an Associated Airlines Embraer aircraft that killed 13 including a commissioner in Ondo State, Deji Falae.

The Med-View Airline Flight VL2104 which left the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos was scheduled to land in Abuja at about 1.05pm. According to reports, the pilot had already made the landing announcements, was cleared to land and had started descending into the Abuja airport but apparently another plane was coming down too.

The 150 passengers on board went straight into panic mode, praying and fidgeting as the plane hovered in bad weather for about 20 minutes, Nigerian Eye reports.
