PDP BoT Chairman, Haliru Bello sacked

Mohammed Haliru Bello has been sacked as the Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mohammed was removed from the position on Wednesday, when the opposition party’s BoT, met in Abuja.

Consequently, the Board instructed its Secretary, Senator Walid Jibril, to merge the job description of the BoT chairman with his functions.

Mohammed, a former Chairman of the PDP and his son, Abbah Mohammed, are being prosecuted by the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, over their involvement in the alleged diversion of arms procurement funds.

Abbah Mohammed allegedly received about N600 million from the office of former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, using the name- Bam Properties.
