The exodus of some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the oppositon All Progressives Congress (APC), seems to be far from over.

Out of the 24 lawmakers in the Kwara State House of Assembly who were elected under the aegis of the PDP, 20 have now defected to the APC.

This move was announced a while ago at plenary by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rasak Atunwa.

Premium Times report:

The defection is not unexpected. The state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed as well as his political godfather, Bukola Saraki, had earlier defected to the APC.

Earlier, on January 8, 27 of the 30 members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly defected to the APC from the PDP.

The lawmakers defected shortly after the state governor, Aliyu Wamakko, joined four other governors to move from the PDP to the APC.
