The Directorate of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization (PDPPCO) denied an allegation by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that a plan was stirring to implicate the opposition party with a huge amount of US dollars being ferried into Nigeria.

The APC had alleged in a statement by its spokesperson, Lai Mohammed, on Thursday, that the hard currency being shipped into Nigeria by an unnamed group would be hanged on it (APC) as the conveyor.

But the Director PDP Campaign Organization, Femi Fani-Kayode, dismissed the allegation, stating rather that the APC leaders should get ready to face the full wrath of the law if they violated any law.

Fani-Kayode, who described the allegation as another set of lie fabricated by the APC, said the party’s leaders should let the people know if they were planning to bring in some hard currencies into the country with a view to using it for the coming election.

“Once again, the APC has come up with a litany of lies and falsehood. It is clear that whatever affliction has befallen them, it is getting worse by the day, it is irreversible and it is terminal.”

“They are a party that manufactures one lie every minute and seek to sell it to the Nigerian public. If they are planning to smuggle large amounts of cash from outside the country because they are broke, they should just say so.”

“Whatever the case, if they violate the laws of the land, by trying to smuggle in the proceeds of ill-gotten gains from foreign land, we shall meet them at the borders of our nation, we shall confiscate the cash and we shall prosecute them fully, according to the law.”

“We do not need to frame anybody up because we know who the real criminals are. May God judge them for their lies,” he said.
