PDP kicks over arrest of Abati, Bala Mohammed

The Peoples Democratic Party has expressed its grievance over trhe arrest of two of its members, former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed and the former Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a statement issued on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the party wondered when the Federal Government will follow due process in the arrest of persons.

The statement read, “We had earlier in the day condemned the re-arrest of Chief Femi Fani Kayode by the EFCC on the premises of Lagos High Court, Lagos State.

“We are hereby equally aggrieved with another arrest of senior members of our great Party, the PDP, the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed and the former Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati also by the EFCC operatives.

“We ask, when will due process be respected by this APC led government of attrition?”
