The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, in its bid to rebrand its social media activities, has opened Twitter accounts in various Nigerian languages.
The party also said via its official Twitter account (@PDPNigeria), that it has “reconstituted the team managing” its accounts.
It further said that the re-organisation became necessary to better communicate its ideals to Nigerians.

The handles opened include – @PDPYoruba @PDPHausa, @PDPIgbo, and @PDPPidgin.
The party said the move was part of “efforts to communicate with Nigerians in as many languages as possible”.
According to the statement, other Nigerian languages will be added in the coming days and weeks.
