The Peoples Democratic Party in line with its current reforms and upcoming May 21 National Convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has reportedly zoned the positions of president and vice president to the North and South East, respectively.
Following the reported zoning arrangement, the North will take the seat of the Senate President, the South will be the Speaker of the House of Representatives as well as national chairman of the party.
According to the Daily Sun, positions of deputy Senate President, deputy National Secretary and National Organising Secretary were zoned to the South West.
The South East would not only produce the vice president but also get the positions of national legal adviser, national treasurer and national youth Leader.
The North will produce the deputy Speaker, deputy National Chairman and the party’s national secretary in addition to producing the President and Senate President.
Other offices reportedly zoned to the region include the national financial secretary, national publicity secretary, national auditor and national women leader.
