Peaceful Patience has a thing for ‘expired drugs and Ebola’ – 6 things we learnt from her speech yesterday

by Kolapo Olapoju

Wife of the President, Patience Jonathan, spoke in Onitsha on Monday, March 23, at a Peoples Democratic Party rally.

During the course of her address, she directed her vitriol to the opposition party, All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari,

From her animated speech, we managed to grasp 6 things:

pat

1. Patience Jonathan is certain that Buhari is a misogynist

“Do not vote for the presidential candidate that does not have regards for women; when he was Head of State, he refused to let Nigerians know his wife until recently when he was reminded by PDP women that women are no more for the kitchen alone, and he hurriedly decided to bring her out.”

2. Maybe, just maybe, Patience believes an APC government will jail both herself and husband, Jonathan

“If you vote for APC all the projects President Jonathan started will be abandoned, it is their way; they do not build, but they know how to destroy that is why their Deputy Governor and their members are decamping to PDP, you have to be careful with that party that is comfortable in jailing husband and wife for no justifiable offence.”

3. The First Lady continues to make poor analogies

“Before, we were using typewriter to type and it took all our time, today we are using computer to type and it is saving our time and energy, why should we go back to typewriter and leave computer, we must move forward. We cannot leave digital stage of life and go back to the analogue stage, God forbid.”

4. Peaceful Patience has a thing for ‘expired drugs and Ebola’

“They have changed their name again, very unsteady party, this time it is APC, the name of an analog expired drug Nigerians rejected because of its ineffectiveness, they will change name again to Ebola and then, they will die their final death, Saturday March 28 will mark the end and final death of APC because they will be disgraced again by Nigerians who have always rejected them.”

5. Mama Peace is vexed that Buhari is as old as GEJ’s father, yet wants to be president.

“Buhari who is as old as Jonathan’s father should tell us what he forgot in Aso-Rock. During Buhari’s era, he said women should be confined in the kitchen. But under Jonathan’s administration, women has been liberated to contribute to national development.”

6. Patience Jonathan apparently believes her husband, Goodluck Jonathan, is a Nigerian youth.

“Buhari abolished the office of first lady during his time. You should not allow our people to go back to the analogue age. We are in a digital era. Buhari is too old. He should allow the youths to lead.”
