PHOTOS: #WhenWeWereKings – (A bit of) Nigeria’s history in pictures

by Isi Esene

Today’s photo story is a collectors’ item, it takes us back memory lane to an era in the history of Nigeria when we were kings and our collective destiny was firmly within our grasp.

Let’s take a trip deep into a past that, perhaps, was brighter than what we see now.

Hat-tip to the CEO of Storm 360 for the photos.

  1. Its is beautiful

  2. I thank the people who made this possible. Our problem is that we have no sense of history; we just live for today

  3. The tags should have been on the pictures. Clicking the pictures takes you to another page and that takes the fun out of it kind of. Great pictures though, capturing the sights and moments right. Thank God 80s and 90s babies now have a peek at the past, so those of the 'elders' that were mature to how things were going in the 20s and 30s or even before that would stop bragging. #Just saying 🙂

  4. All these photos where lifted off "the Nigeria nostalgia project" on Facebook. Might want to give them credit

  5. one day soon……we shall be again…..one day soon.

  6. you guys click on the pictures to get a description.

  7. Exactly…Please tag the pictures for identification

  8. These are so good and appreciated but some are no tagged.pls help on these for the benefit of 80's and 90's babies.
