Today’s Daily Brief: Gen. Buhari joins Twitter, Bomb blast hits Bauchi market, Amaechi denies being APC’s moneybag, and more

Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has categorically denied funding the All Progressives Congress with state resources.

The Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party had alleged that Amaechi was using the state’s resources to sponsor the APC campaign which they say have led to state finances being insufficient for carrying out development projects.

However, at the launch of the campaign of the State APC governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt, Amaechi outrightly refuted claims insinuating that he was the opposition’s moneybag.

The letter, dated December 9, 2014, and signed by secretary to the commission, Mrs Augusta Ogakwu, quoted a suit instituted by one Adelowo Aremu against the PDP.

The letter confirmed the receipt of the order of a Federal High Court in Abuja in respect of the suit.
