Martin Montano attacked his mother and another man in her Albuquerque home, kidnapped them and then threw his mother off a bridge into the Rio Grande river.

A 61-year-old New Mexico woman survived a brutal attack by her deranged son, who said “voices” compelled him to stab her and another man and then throw her off a bridge in Albuquerque, police said.

Hope Montano and her companion, Francisco Dominguez, were in stable condition with head trauma and stab wounds at University of New Mexico hospital after Tuesday’s brutal assault.

Cops said Martin Montano, 26, beat, choked and stabbed the pair with a kitchen knife at his mom’s Albuquerque home before stuffing them in a trunk and driving to a bridge over the Rio Grande.

Witnesses said Montano dragged the woman out of the trunk and threw her off the 60-foot crossing, local KOAT 7 reported. He then tried to throw Dominguez over, but a bystander intervened.

Montano took off in the car, but was later caught by police in the northeast part of the city, cops said.

Montano, 26, said voices in his TV compelled him to carry out the brutal attack.

Montano, 26, said voices in his TV compelled him to carry out the brutal attack.

He told cops that voices in his TV set told him the couple was actually “clones” of his real family — which was living underground — and that he needed to “get them out,” cops said.

Montano “did not think [his mother] was his mom” and told he police he intended to “throw one of the clones in the river,” police said, according to The Associated Press.

He faces several charges, including attempted murder, aggravated battery and aggravated burglary.

Court records showed Montano and his mother have had problems before.

In August 2012, he was arrested for false imprisonment and battery after cops found him struggling with her and shouting “you have demons in you.”
