President Buhari reacts to Olu Falae’s abduction

President Muhammadu Buhari, has instructed the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to make sure the kidnapped former presidential candidate, Olu Falae, is expediently rescued.

Falae was kidnapped from his farm in Akure on Monday, September 21, by Fulani herdsmen.

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity tp the President, Femi Adesina, said Buhari condemns the abduction while urging all security agencies to bring him back safely.

Adesina’s statement said: “He assured Chief Falae’s family, friends and other concerned Nigerians that the Federal Government will do all within its powers to ensure his swift release. He also requested constant updates from the police and security agencies on efforts to find and rescue Chief Falae and also denounces the recurring incidents of criminal abductions across the country.”

“He assured all Nigerians that ongoing efforts to significantly enhance the security of lives and property in the country will continue apace and that under his leadership, Nigerians, irrespective of their status, will no longer be left at the mercy of criminal elements.”
