[The Presidential Blog] What’s Vice President Osinbajo doing in Sokoto today?

The Vice President’s itinerary has been a bit tricky to follow today but it’s only because we momentarily forgot that all roads lead to/through Kaduna now. LoL!

Earlier today the Presidency handle on Twitter informed us that Professor Osinbajo will be in Sokoto today for the flag off of the MSME Clinic in the State.

Only for us to start seeing messages about the VP receiving the Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau in Kaduna.

But then we remembered oh! Kaduna is the place right now. Might be a good idea too, considering all the horrible news that’s come out of there in recent times. Eventually, the VP left Kaduna for Sokoto around midday for the MSME Clinic in Sokoto as scheduled.

The MSME Clinic is one of the Federal Government initiatives which the Vice President launched in January and has already taken effect in Abuja and Aba and so Sokoto, today makes the third stop of the initiative.

The MSME Clinic initiative was developed to bring all key Federal Government agencies with whom the MSMEs interact together in one place so that small businesses can consult with them directly and obtain solutions on the spot. The MSME Clinic is also expected to serve as a one-stop shop for those businesses that need to speak to more than one agency. evident that the MSME Clinic must go round the various states and to key MSME locations.

Upon its launch, the Federal Government decided that the Clinics will go round the various states and to key MSME locations. So that’s why Professor Osinbajo is in Sokoto today.

According to the Vice President’s media assistant, Mr Laolu Akande, the MSME Clinic today will bring together NAFDAC, SON, BOI, FIRS and many others to help solve the problems of these small businesses.
