‘Purchase of 25 exotic cars’ | Why EFCC arrested PDP chieftain, Uche Secondus

Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Elder Uche Secondus who has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission since Tuesday, February 23.

He’s reportedly being quizzed about an alleged fleet of 25 exotic cars bought for top officials of the Peoples Democratic Party by the promoter of Atlantic Energy Concepts Limited, Jide Omokore.

According to Vanguard Newspaper, a source in the upper ranks of the EFCC said that the purchase of 25 exotic cars was discovered by the agency during the course of its interrogation of Omokore who has been in the custody of the agency for 2 weeks.

Omokore is being investigated for his alleged involvement in shady oil deals worth billions of naira.

Secondus reportedly received the said 25 exotic cars for distribution to respective beneficiaries.

This is believed to be the reason why the anti-graft agency apprehended him for interrogations.
