Eminent Nigerians gathered last week at the Tafawa Balewa Square for the Lagos leg of the multiple funeral programme for the late Biafra leader, Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

Governors Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos state and Rochas Okorocha of Imo state led the farewell with Peter Obi of Anambra state. Other dignitaries present included Action Congress of Nigeria (ANC) leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; former Chief of General Staff, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe; former military administrator of Lagos, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu as well as Senators Chris Ngige, Ben Obi and Ike Nwachukwu.
