Ramires dive and Andre Marriner messed up… royally!

I hope he gets a generous cheque from either Jose Mourinho or Roman Abramovich. Chelsea were outplayed by West Brom and deserved this victory, but poor judgement from the referee ensured that they got a 2-2 draw. It was clearly a dive from Ramires and he should have been booked. Instead, the Blues got a penalty.

Hazard saved the day for Mourinho

Did Mourinho say Hazard is a poor timekeeper? Well, he and the referee chose the right time to draw Chelsea level. The Belgian forward was an epitome of calm, as he stepped forward in Lampard’s absence, to stroke the penalty for the equaliser.

Mourinho isn’t all that

I’m a big Mourinho fan, but it seems the Portuguese has rather mastered the act of bitching (which he apparently does to stay alive), other than tactics. His team selection baffles at times and his substitutions even more confusing. The spark just shows up here and there. Nothing special.

The Apprentice almost overcame the Master

Steve Clarke was Mourinho’s assistant for a while and almost got the better of his master, save for an error of judgement. His well drilled West Brom side kept Chelsea at bay and almost left Stamford Bridge with a famous win.

The November curse continues

Well, it’s a thing with Chelsea, isn’t it? The lost to Newcastle last week and almost lost to West Brom today. The next game is after the international break, away to West Ham – a feisty London derby.
