There’s no amount of tweeting or press statements that can take the place of actually reaching out, doing something, feeling the pulse of people affected by a tragedy. That’s what star actress Genevieve Nnaji and the Mavin crew led by Don Jazzy did when they visited victims of the deadly flood disaster in Asaba, Delta State.
The celebrities, which also included Tiwa Savage and Dr. Sid, donated clothes and food items to the victims at their camps; spoke with them and offered words and songs of solace.
According to Nnaji: “This is just the beginning, as our country has never experienced anything like this. The government is doing the best they can, but we as citizens, can also partake in helping the situation in the best way we can. The plan is to get more people involved, and visit more relief camps in the affected states.”
