Red Media Africa, Dangote Group, Chandaria Industries shortlisted for ‘African Business of the Year’ prize

Africa’s leading omni-media group, Red Media Africa, has been nominated for the ‘African Business of The Year’ award and ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility’ award at the African Business Awards 2015.

The nomination comes as RED celebrates its 10th year anniversary.

Red Media Africa will contend with other leading African businesses like Dangote Group, Ison BPO, Universal Auto Distribution Holding and Chandaria Industries in the African Business of the year category.

RED also contends with GEMS Education and the Varkey Foundation, ISON BPO and The Nigerian Stock exchange in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility categories.

“We at RED are delighted about these nominations for a number of reasons. First, these prestigious nominations have come at about the same time we are celebrating 10 years of impacting and inspiring Africa”, said Chude Jideonwo, Managing Partner of Red Media Africa.

“As a company that gives out awards through The Future Project to deserving Africans, we understand the process of getting credible candidates for awards, hence, we are delighted that our work as a media group is being given global recognition through these nominations.”

The Awards which is now in its 7th edition accompanies the African Leadership Forum, which takes place during the UN general assembly and has become the definitive business awards in Africa, recognising leadership and excellence on the continent, as well as companies that are driving Africa’s rapidly transforming economy and creating new economic opportunities for citizens and communities all over the continent.

The winners of the awards will be announced in New York on the 23rd of September, 2015.
