Report: Jonathan pays surprise visit to Police College, Ikeja (No, seriously)

by Isi Esene

After the widespread publicity over the deplorable conditions police recruits live at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, president Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly made an unscheduled visit to the facility.

According to SaharaReporters, even his top aides were taken unawares by the unscheduled stop. Eyewitnesses say the police authorities were also caught unawares and had in fact rented the college to host a private wedding, which is illegal.

The president conducted an inspection around the facility starting from the student hostels where he discovered dilapidated conditions including no beds and toilets in the rooms.

Reports say the president is still going around checking facilities on ground at the college.

  1. I refused to be deceived again, 2015 is on the way and the president will want to make us see him as the messiah after his epic fail. That's his job he should do more of it, but for a second term ? No way

  2. Yes kudos †ð channelsTV ! Hope we zee his action soon.

  4. Good questions Mike. Hopefully we'll see him take some actions soon. Kudos to Channels TV for opening our eyes to the deplorable state of the police College. I didn't know it was in such a bad state.

  5. And what did he do or so. Did he querry the IG or fire the Commandant? Did he ask of what happened to all the money budgeted for police training or a thorough audit? I was in that college in 1984 nd till today nothing changed. What is he going to do after seeing the condition??
