Amina Ali, the 19-year-old ‘Chibok girl’ rescued by the civilian Joint Task Force today has now met with the Governor of Borno, Kashim Shettima this evening.
She was airlifted from Damboa to Maiduguri with her baby after a medical screening, and the governor has now formally taken custody of her.
According to army spokesman Col. Sani Usman, Amina and her baby were handed over to the gover or at the Government House, Maiduguri by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu in a brief ceremony.
SHe will now be taken to Abuja tomorrow along with her parents to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Meanwhile, the supposed husband is undergoing further investigation at Joint Intelligence Centre,” Usman said.
