Richard Mofe Damijo aka RMD may be looking to file a legal action against E-commerce company, Jumia after it allegedly used several of his Instagram pictures on its Jumia fashion Instagram page without receiving due consent from him; thereby infringing on his image rights.
In a statement issued by his publicist, the Nollywood actor had contacted the company through his lawyers to call them to order by removing the pictures but the company allegedly neither did so nor offer any apologies.
The actor has now instructed his lawyers to sue Jumia for ‘punitive and exemplary damages for the infringement of his image rights’.
Following this, Jumia have now taken down the pictures off their Instagram page and apologised.
